Cut from a Japanese hickory stripe cloth, historically seen on 19th-century American railroad workwear, the indigo stripes were designed to obscure grease and dirt (but will also serve for a spilled Old Fashioned), while the thick, denim-like weave provides durability.
Taking the bones of a tailored jacket and relaxing them, it features an unstructured shape, a generous cut, and just enough esoteric design features to keep things interesting: a wealth of pockets, embroidered eyelets, and removable pin buttons inspired by vintage workwear uniforms, designed to make laundering easier.
